Hickory is great balance of energetic and chill. He has a great off switch especially in the house but has the energy to keep up with me in the woods and around the farm. We only briefly had livestock to test his herding skills on but he showed potential. He patrols the fields and will run out coyotes and alert me to anything strange. He did not need to be trained on how to behave around chickens and small critters; leaving them alone and realizing they are part of the farm came naturally to him. He loves to snuggle and is a huge cuddle bug.
