Davy is a very smart even tempered dog. Never engages with other aggressive dogs when in a large group. His main goal is to keep the peace and have fun. He is so intuitive. He does not like any kind of physical horseplay by the kids. There is no play hitting or raised voices as he will often sit himself next to the "aggressor" or interrupt horse play with barking and the "collie mouthing" the person to stop what they are doing. He is the family peace keeper. No raised voices if they sound angry. This troubles him. He is a great family dog. Is very routine in his schedule - when it is bedtime - he will let you know. Always in the mood for a bit of horseplay or general fun. Very biddable if you have a tasty morsel to offer. Started well in agility.

Working Description: Davy's job is to keep the family safe and be the alert system for the property. He is extremely smart - remembering who has been cleared to be on the property and who is new and needs to needs approval. He is friendly with everyone - but will set himself apart from a new person until they are greeted by one of the family members. Has a great memory for all of the people who have visited and only alerts when he is not sure who they are.
