Jess is a farm dog. She hunts rats, guards the property, and protects the poultry from predators. She has been started on sheep and shows drive and great instinct. She gets along with other dogs, is trustworthy around poultry, and the cats adore her. Jess is extremely intelligent, intuitive, affectionate, and loyal. She is great with children and has taught herself pick up dropped items and hand them to me when she hears them fall. She will also retrieve items (like my shoes or a piece of trash) on command if I point to them.
