He is our 17 yo cat's guardian. They sleep together at night and he watches out for her when she is outside. One morning everyone was outside, dogs came in and cat stayed out to sun, suddenly Scotty was at the door barking. A Blue Jay had pinned the cat under a chair. Scotty to the rescue!
