CE required hydrolyzed diet, Anxiety (likely related to CE and early malnutrition)
High Country Collies Zak
Jadoo will not be fully registered as he developed health issues under age one. He will be neutered after he reaches full bone growth. Health issues are currently successfully treated medically; however, I believe it would be inappropriate for anyone to ever to breed him.
Despite rather a lot of vet visits at a young age, he is great about handling without too much training.
Who is he? He's a cuddly, biddable pup who like to sit on laps and run in big circles. Balls and sticks are great fun. He is currently fearful of a number of things (we think it's related to malnutrition between about four and eight months) but responding to treatment. I'm optimistic.
He enjoys training, playing in the basement, walks in the woods, and playing with a select few dog "friends." He adores his dog walker.
He earned a trick title before one year and likely could earn another one or two if I organized us to do it. Quite trainable as long as the fear/anxiety doesn't emerge too strongly.

Jadoo is an excellent nosework dog. He, at 12 months, will sustain up to five minutes of searching in up to 1000 sq. ft. Elements of difficulty he can manage include elevated hides, higher air currents, and out of reach hides (i.e. inside a drawer or cabinet). He clicks into a focused work mode where his brain is able to sort through distractions fairly easily to achieve his objective.
His search style is to typically do a pass at a moderate pace in search of a hint. He will then do increasingly detailed, slower passes until he finds that curl of scent to trace the scent cone back to the source. In seven months of training, he gave up on just two searches. He does not look to the handler for cues in his work but is biddable to being told something is off-limits.
