Very intelligent. Occasionally mischievous, but eager and curious and extremely loyal. Moderately independent and occasionally willful, but generally accepts correction with a good attitude. Generally, very biddable with a strong sense of duty. Cautiously assess new people and pets, but is then affectionate and playful with all who are interested once they are properly introduced. Sets quietly aside monitoring things when not receiving direct attention or up performing his occasional patrolling. Stands up for himself with other larger dogs and vocally alerts to perceived hazards. Alert to surroundings and sounds off when something new arrives in his domain. Frequently checks on things inside when he's outside by looking through the windows and does the reverse when he's inside. Always ready to help out. Displays herding tendencies when tagging along with owner, but ceases immediately when told to stop. Good on a leash and will also play fetch forever. Very attentive to his pack mates, especially the other two OTSC females. Best dog I've ever had the pleasure to know.
