Lives in suburbs, raised in 1 bedroom urban apartment, settles well indoors, and not overly barky. Friendly but aloof with new people (until they call him pretty and then they’re a new best friend), friendly with strangers invited into home. Does not live with any, but loves kids and is gentle with them - will even happily prance alongside them when they run (no heel-nipping here!). High energy and will run as long as asked, but does not require long daily walks - not destructive and no separation anxiety. Very smart and biddable but occasionally overstimulated in busy/dog-heavy areas. Highly food and toy motivated, loves to retrieve and play tug. Does well with other dogs after a greeting/warmup period, and would love to play for hours if he could. He is on the small side but has a huge love for work! He is a very versatile dog with an easy-keeper coat, beautiful head, and nimble movement. I look forward to seeing him mature even more and potentially breed in the future!

Shows herding drive - currently pursuing herding lessons. Comfortable with horses from a distance. Friendly with pet cats, calm and respects boundaries of small pet critters in the home. I would expect him to do well as a guardian of chickens - hoping to meet some. Very suspicious and watchful of large birds of prey. Good alarm bark for suspicious activity at night and appropriate protective streak.
