Everest is loving with all humans once introduced. A beloved family pet and comforter, with a dash of a sense of humor.
Everest is very intuitive, quick to learn and very stable. His recovery time is almost instantaneous, nothing phases him. Very responsive to what is asked of him. Remembers past expectations well.
Everest loves children but obviously favors 'his kid'; gentle, forgiving and always present. He will NOT allow strangers to get between him and his kids. He is the same with anyone that is not feeling well.
Everest is great with other dogs and cats when introduced. He ignores poultry and observes small animals behind wire with medium to low interest. A natural nurturer of puppies. He is very observant of his surroundings, which includes birds of prey and any bird bigger than a sparrow. He likes to sit on things which everyone finds very entertaining.
Everest is essentially an at home emotional support/service animal, for my daughter, He is already being trained to help carry things in a pack.
A lush coat with some curl. Hugging him and feeling his dense full collar spring under my touch is a favorite of mine. Easy to maintain as he never mats anywhere on his body.
He was introduced to sheep and does have herding instinct. He showed more desire to fullfill his self designated service dog duties than continue to herd sheep. Has a loose eye/continental herding style. Very agile.
