Working Description: Colbie is a very sweet, athletic and versatile collie. She is a companion dog who lives with her family in a suburban setting. She considers herself the overseer of our small wooded property and does her part to chase off vermin and uses her watchful eyes to protect our rabbits and felines from overhead threats. She warns us when there are people or animals that don't belong but doesn't bark unless there is a reason. Her intelligence is off the chart amazing - always thinking! Her social drive and work ethic make her extremely adaptable and trainable. She picks up new tasks quickly and has that reliable off switch. Colbie has a great nose and loves scent work, agility, retrieving - you name it, she'll do it. She has no fear of water and is a strong swimmer. Her guard instinct is strong but she warms up to strangers whom we welcome and she absolutely adores children.
