Sam is a very happy, friendly dog. He *loves* everyone he meets and in general plays well with other dogs. He’s quite good with puppies. He especially loves children, but is still learning that he needs to be calmer with them. Sam is a very confident dog and rarely worried about new people, things, or situations. He’s good on my horse farm, sits calmly in the arena off leash when we are riding and happily comes along on trail rides in the woods and around the farm. He chases deer to the edge of the woods and then comes back. He’s killed two groundhogs in the woods on the side of my farm. He loves to watch over his domain. Sam has had several sheep herding lessons and took to it quite well. He seems to enjoy the work and is nominally calm and good with the sheep.
