Shenandoah is the hallmark of joy! She sticks close and checks in visually with her owner for clues on what to do next. If the other dogs are at the back fence going at something, she can be called off fairly easily. Shenandoah lives with 2 other OTSC's and has taken her place in the pack. Ryman's Emma (owned by Carol Edwards) essentially raised Shenandoah and the two get along beautifully. Sirius (owned by Jenny Edwards) is a neutered male with a long history of reactivity issues. Even when he's alarmed and barking loudly, Shenandoah tends to simply watch the situation rather than react. She's not a "barker," but definitely is a "talker" with deep chested vocalizations. However, if she perceives a threat, she will bark. She is reserved with strangers and may (or not) warm up to them if given some time. She likes kids immediately and tends to prefer women over men. She is extremely affectionate and sweet, but not at all needy. She loves to play, jumps in and out of the car with ease, and is comfortable on the trail.
