Started with large working farm shetlands (which bore no resemblance to the akc dogs at all) in Illinois in the early 1970's but then they all disappeared. Then I found the farm collie lines that were very similar. I have kept them going for 6 generations since 1984.I truly love these dogs.
I am very proud of my current sire Mani and the many pups and so forth all over the country now. They are my ideal dogs.
They are smart, kind, agile, good to extreme temperatures, they would be totally at home in Scotland in the Highlands or on the cliffs of the Shetland Islands.
