Fern is devoted to our family. She is calm and gentle with babies and young children. However, Fern is cautious around strangers and protective of our family. She will observe visitors before seeking their attention. After she approves of the visitors she is very friendly. She is very intelligent and easy to train. Fern quickly learned basic obedience and she has a great recall. She enjoys playing with other dogs and is good with other animals.

Working Description: Her primary purpose is to guard the farm and protect chickens. She is an extremely alert watch dog. Fern has good herding instincts and learned to move goats and chickens by observing and following along during morning chores.
