Hazel is a very expressive girl. She is deeply devoted to a small number of people and can take a long time to warm up to strangers. She does, however, submit to handling from strangers with good grace when necessary (ie., at vet visits). She loves all children. Due to bad hips, she will not be bred again. She takes vermin eradication very seriously, is a great watchdog, and will be assessed for herding instincts at some point. She is highly intelligent and quickly learns new skills. Her outer coat has a coarse texture and does not mat except behind the ears. She is a tri-factored sable and is tested non-merle. Hazel is an excellent mother. She is protective of her puppies and keeps them extremely fat and healthy.
