Annie has been a fabulous fit for our family and our hobby farm.
First of all, she does very well with children - doesn't mind a baby crawling up to her and climbing on her, and loves playing with anyone of any age who wants to play with her.
She's also protective of our property and will bark to alert us to visitors. She's learned from Jack that raptors are threats and now when she sees a soaring bird she will run, barking, to scare it away from our chickens.
Annie's been learning to help move goats and is doing better at knowing what is needed for that. She's uncertain of what to do around the cows, but wants to help. When the cows got out of our pasture this week, she tried herding one and helped get it back in.
Annie loves to play, and has a seemingly inexhaustible amount of energy when it comes to playing fetch. But she is not at all high-strung; she relaxes well and often.

At 7 months old Annie is alert and attentive to what we want. She already notifies us if the cows or calf are out. She learns easily and is very biddable.
At 16 months old, Annie is now helping herd the cows back in to their pasture. She has a lot of energy, but is not intense towards the animals. She seems to understand just how much pressure is needed to move them where they should go.
