Kelso is a sweet and affectionate member of the family, even if he thinks he's the boss. He has to have his morning hug, and it has to go on until he's satisfied. After that, he loves his morning deer patrol. He has a strong prey drive so he's a fantastic guard dog, and he's the first to know if something isn't right, day or night. But he's a softie, too, and the kids and cats know it. As for evenings, he loves watching TV and movies -- wildlife shows are the best, but he's good with anything.

He's on alert all the time and will investigate any potential issue. But he's learned to listen and he's developing into a good working dog.
