He was from a pairing of sire Rapone Topaz x dam Kootenai Jade (Scottish Collie Presevation Society,) aka Connor and Heather LaFaver. The litter was named after Marvel characters and his puppy name was Groot. He has a few black patches in his moderate white coat, which is surprisingly easy to keep clean. The teflon coat of these dogs is true, even on the white ones.
Corgie is very biddable, smart, friendly, and has excellent behavior around our chickens and the desert tortoise. He prefers to be active but can also lay around the house all day when necessary. He has a definite off switch. Corgie lives in Coastal Southern California.
Embark tested clear/ non carrier to 180 genetic disease. I don't think his Dam's pedigree is here at OTSC but can be found at the Scottish Collie preservation society pedigreedatabase online under Kootanai Jade.
We don’t have current plans to breed Corgie, but we are leaving him intact for now.

Corgie lives in a suburban neighborhood. His main work is keeping squirrels out of the yard and chaperoning the small flock of backyard chickens when they are out. He is good with children, our cat, and our tortoise. He typically exercises twice a day through play, running, or walks, totaling up to about 60-90 minutes a day. He is generally a mellow dog, and doesn’t mind relaxing all day if there is no dog jobs to be done. He is a great family pet.
For the time being he is still intact. He has a very easy to care for coat and goes weeks without brushing sometimes.
