As a dog adopted from a shelter, Sage's parentage is unknown. We have tracked down enough info. to determine that she is from a ranch in a community outside of Rapid City, and we do know that she was born in July, 2017. The investigation continues! Her appearance and skills reflect much of the OTSC standard.

Working Description: Now retired at 13.5 years old, Sage competed in NADAC agility with my husband at the intermediate level. She was a biddable and competent teammate. She does not exhibit much interest in herding, but does show a fair amount of guardian tendencies toward baby animals, and prey drive toward squirrels, rabbits, etc. Her temperament to both human adults and children is tolerant and kind, and she instinctively has great 'interpersonal' skills with other dogs of all kinds. Through genetic testing, we have discovered that as we suspected, she and High Sierra Willow are siblings, sharing 70% of their DNA.
