We have a farm in Fairmont WV raising cattle, goats and sheep and searched for a breed that would fit our farm life. We acquired a tricolor male (Leith- now called Henry) then
a sable female (Cedar Creek Molly).
Our farm chores are easier now, Molly is good with chickens and helps herd sheep and both alert us when animals (like coyotes) dig under our fences. A true working companion is an asset for any farm.
Embark testing shows Henry totally clear & Molly as a CEA carrier only.
Additionally, OFA testing of Henry’s hips & elbows show no problems.
