Grew up showing rough and smooth collies, Greyhounds, and French Bulldogs. I believe strongly that a dog should be able to perform the duties that it was bred to do. My dogs were owner handled to their championships and my greyhounds obtained their Lure Coursing titles. Recently we, my husband and I, purchased a blue headed white collie shepherd mix from Stirling collies. I wanted to go back to collies. I was not happy with having dogs that weren't "smart" like my collies were. However, I didn't want show stock nor a purebred. I was looking to get the collie temperament and guarding instincts. I wanted a dog that could be both working quality and what I consider to be the correct collie look. Shylah is EXACTLY that! I want to promote her qualities and looks to another generation. So am looking to find a match for her. Would like to produce color headed whites. Shylah will be health tested. She should be CEA and PRA normal and possibly non carrier due to parentage but I will actually have the test done for official results and either pen hip or OFA hip done at the appropriate time. I look forward to meeting others with the same mindset - preserving the working collie of yester years.
